Priorities and strategies listed below were developed by the neighborhood residents and community partners.  Specific strategies were designed to meet a spectrum of resident needs, to build on existing revitalization efforts and to link neighborhood residents with services provided in the community.

Improve Housing Stock in the Area

• New Construction
• No or low interest home repair loan programs

Decrease Crime & Increase Sense of Saftety Throughout

• Building awareness of the Neighborhood Based Service Delivery Program
• Public safety forum and workshops

Provide Paths to Employment & Asset Building

• Job Fairs & job skill workshops
• Tax preparation and Iowa Workforce Development sites in the Neighborhood

Provide Youth with Positive & Constructive Activities

• Neighborhood Youth Acheivers Program at the Grubb YMCA
• After school enrichment programs
• Evelyn K. Davis Park programming

Neighborhood Pride and Perception

• Clean up the neighborhood
• Upgrade the neighborhood infrastructure primarily in the Mondamin Presidential area
• Increase resident communication and participation through neighborhood events and activities

Use of Casady School Building

• Neighborhood Investment Corporation has partnered with the neighborhood associations to conduct a feasibility study for the use of the Casady School building as a neighborhood resource location.
