WOODLAND HEIGHTS

Woodland Heights offers urban living at its finest.  The historic neighborhood is within walking distance of downtown employers, the Des Moines Central Library.  Two grocery stores, many restaurants and coffeehouses, banks, several school and Gray's Lake.  The Ingersoll corridor offers a diversity of businesses, ranging from dining and nightlife to art galleries and clothing stores.
While exploring Woodland Heights, you'll marvel at the variety of early 20th centruy architecture that graces the neighborhood.  Over the years, many of Des Moines' prominent leaders have lived here.  As your're exploring, be sure to stop by Chamberlain Park, a quiet retreat in the middle of the city.  Across the street is beautiful Woodland Heights cemetary, the final resting place for many who have shsaped the coruse of Iowa from its earliest days.
