The early history of the neighborhood dates back to 1850. During those Victorian years, Sherman Hill became home to many f the city's most prominent business and community leaders. Countless examples of turn-of-the-century architecture exist throughout the neighborhood.
The preservation of the neighborhood's historical character has encouraged a movement back to the city. The Sherman Hill community is mad eup of individuals, families and business owners diverse in income, household, race and age.
