The Indianola Hills Neighbohood Association welcomes families with a new sign that been appropriately placed on Indianola avenue, the busiest street within the association's area.  As people travel past the sign toward "the hill," they enjoy one of the most beautiful views of downtown 
Des Moines, from Indianola Avenue. 

Everywhere in Indianola Hills is just minutes from downtown Des Moines.  The area's 2,000 homes are nestled south of the fork of the Des Moines and Raccoon rivers, where development of the rivers has become an attractive bonus.  Residents can easily access bike and walking trails,  enjoy fishing or swimming at Gray's Lake or Easter Lake, enjoy the Principal Riverwalk area, including the farmers market and the many other events occuring downtown.
