Located minutes from downtown Des Moines in the north-central part of the city, Mondamin Presidential is a friendly, culturally diverse area, containing approximately 600 affordable, mostly single-family, owner occupied homes, some of which are more than 100 years old.  

It is mainly residential, with a smattering of small businesses.  New houses are being built; many older ones are being remodeled, rehabilitated or restored into attractive, affordable homes.  The neighborhood association meets at the Casady Building.
