The Lower Beaver Neighborhood is thriving. Touted as the second most stable neighborhood by the city, it contains approximately 2,200 homes.

The "Trestle to Trestle" trail has been recently completed. It travels from the Neal Smith Trail train trestle, along the Des Moines River, through the Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway enhanced project area as well as the developing Tai Dam Village. Trail users will be able to view the village project as it evolves, showcasing the unique culture and heritage.

East: Des Moines River
West: Beaver Avenue
